Get help and understand earnings: statuses, payout math, and support
Interpret every submission status badge, understand how campaign reward models calculate accrued vs. settled earnings, use in-app submission threads, and contact support with the exact details needed to resolve issues quickly.
Overview
Knowing what each status badge means—and how to ask a question on a specific submission or send a complete support request—prevents frustration and helps the team resolve your question without back-and-forth delays.
1. Every submission status badge explained
In My Submissions (/dashboard/v5/campaigns/mine) and on each campaign page, your clip shows one of nine statuses:
Here is the exact meaning of each status in ReelsBuilder:
We're checking the link and your account
Your clip was just submitted. While in Checking, you can still Withdraw it or Move it to another campaign if you selected the wrong campaign.
Awaiting reviewer decision
Automated link checks passed and the clip is in the review queue. Depending on the campaign's configuration (shown on the campaign page), either ReelsBuilder staff or the sponsoring brand team reviews new submissions. Review timing depends on queue volume and ownership confirmation—there is no guaranteed fixed-hour approval deadline.
Approved — eligible views start counting
Your clip passed review. Eligible views and campaign reward rules now count toward your campaign earnings.
Actively accruing rewards
Your approved clip is accruing rewards under the campaign's payout model up to the per-creator cap and campaign budget.
Payout settled
Payout for the settled amount has been recorded. Later eligible views continue counting if the campaign's measurement window is still open.
Rejected with a specific reason code
The clip did not pass review. The card displays the rejection reason (and any reviewer note) plus the option to Appeal within 14 days.
Paused after community reports
Hidden while staff review community reports. Prior earned amounts are preserved, and you can submit an appeal within 14 days.
Appeal under staff review
ReelsBuilder staff are reviewing your appeal and evidence links. Their decision is final.
Withdrawn by creator
You withdrew the submission before review completed. Withdrawn posts cannot be submitted again.
2. How campaign earnings are calculated
Each campaign brief specifies one of four reward models, along with any minimum view threshold, per-creator cap, and total campaign budget:
Rate per 1,000 eligible views
Once an approved clip reaches the campaign's minimum view threshold (if set), it accrues floor((views × ratePer1k) / 1,000), capped by the remaining per-creator cap and campaign budget.
Flat amount per approved post
Pays a fixed reward for each approved clip that meets the campaign's minimum view threshold, up to your creator cap.
Pro-rata share of the campaign prize pool
Your approved clips earn a share of the pool proportional to your eligible views relative to total eligible views across the campaign.
Fixed amount for completed periods
Accrues the configured amount for each completed weekly, biweekly or monthly period. The retainer model does not calculate a delivery threshold or CPM bonus; review the campaign terms and payout status before relying on an amount.
In ReelsBuilder's ledger, Accrued is what your approved clips have earned from current eligible views, Approved is the amount cleared for payout, and Settled (Paid) is the amount disbursed (Accrued ≥ Approved ≥ Settled). On mirrored Content Rewards campaigns, payouts are processed on Content Rewards. On native ReelsBuilder campaigns, payout settlement follows the campaign's published payout schedule and connected payout method.
3. How to ask about a submission or contact support
ReelsBuilder gives you two official support channels depending on whether your question is about a specific native submission or a general account/platform issue:
1. Click 'Ask about this' on your submission card (/dashboard/v5/campaigns/mine)
Every native submission has a built-in question thread (up to 50 messages, 1,000 characters per message). Messages go directly to the deciding team (ReelsBuilder staff or the reviewing brand) with your submission ID already attached.
2. Contact Support (/contact) with your Submission ID
For account connection issues, technical bugs, or general questions, use the Contact page (/contact). Always include: (1) your Submission ID (copied from My Submissions or the clip URL), (2) Campaign name, (3) Full social post URL, (4) Clear description of the issue, and (5) Links to relevant screenshots.
ReelsBuilder staff and community moderators will NEVER ask for your ReelsBuilder password, social media account password, recovery codes, or session tokens—neither on /contact nor in Discord.
Concrete Example: Sending a complete, actionable support request
Verified workflow walkthrough: Priya wants to ask why her submission is still in 'Checking' because her Instagram connection was refreshed after she submitted.
- 1. Check the submission card first
Priya opens /dashboard/v5/campaigns/mine and locates the submission row. She clicks 'Ask about this' to post a short note directly on the submission record so the reviewer sees it alongside the clip.
- 2. Gather the 4 required identifiers if opening a support ticket
When using /contact?subject=creator-support&interest=submission-help, she includes: Submission ID (24-character hex ID from the submission), Campaign Name, the full https://www.instagram.com/reel/... URL, and what happened when she reconnected her Instagram account.
- 3. Keep credentials private
She includes only public URLs and her submission ID—never account passwords or login codes.
